Myrtle Beach Bike Week is upon us again. Well, officially "Spring Rally".
I am headed, today, to a new shop called Koolaids Kustoms to have a sound system installed on Vicci. These guys do a lot of work on customizing Victory motorcycles. The custom creations I have seen are truly awesome!
I have read several reviews on the great quality of the sound system I am getting. I am certain the installation will also be superior! I already know the deal I'm getting is better than anyone else can offer. There is a fun day planned at KK and I am looking forward to making new friends!
Koolaids Kustoms is located at 1200 Glenns Bay Road in Surfside Beach. Stop by sometime and see Eightball and 'Koolaid!
Time to ride!!

Victory gear...
When I stopped at Coastal Victory in Murrells Inlet last week, I found some great Victory shirts on clearance...since I am passing by on the way home tomorrow, I will stop and see if they have anything left. I could order them on the site, at the same price, but who wants to pay shipping...? Not me!

Cleaning Chrome
I know I am not the only one who has worn a plastic rain suit while riding and had the leg touch the hot chrome of the tailpipe. I have always had a difficult time getting it to come off.
I've posed the question on several forum type places online and gotten many different suggestions;
Ajax with a dab of water to make a paste
Chrome polish
Plastic putty knife
0000 steel wool
Toothpaste
While not being willing to try things that I thought might scratch the chrome, nothing I did try seemed to work. Finally, I stopped in a bike shop I hadn't been in before and asked what they suggest. Their suggestion was, after letting it run to get warm, ball up some aluminum foil and just rub it right off.
So, today I went for a 20 mile ride while the power company turned off the whole neighborhood to do some kind of update to something or other. When I got home, while she was still nice and warm, I grabbed the foil and whaddyaknow...that muck came right off! Now all I need to do is get the buffer out and polish all the chrome so she sparkles!

Six months after I brought her home, I was finally able to get Vicci out, clean her up, and participate is a wind therapy session this past weekend...I am watching the weather closely for this coming Saturday...there are St Pat's event in Myrtle and North Myrtle to which I would love to ride...and of course on Tuesday, I plan to be on 2 wheels as much as weather allows!

I believe it's time for me to fly...(so to speak)
Wà. We opted for some fried chicken instead of BBQ based on recommendations...was really good...but now it's time to saddle up and see the mountains of TN and NC
Here we go...
And by 'we', I mean me :-)
TSA was a breeze, coffee was expensive but mandatory, now to people- watch until time to board...
